HBO aired a special Prom Night In Mississippi, it's about a small town in Mississippi who just integrated their prom. So the school is integrated obviously but the prom never was, mainly because of the parents and old sentiments.
It's just such an odd thought to think that this year, in 2009, they JUST integrated. How odd. A bit alien, there was mingling at the prom i admit but not to my liking, i mean it was still like that weird boundary between the races. How odd. The prom was for '08 seniors so that means this past prom for the class of '09 was only the second integrated prom ever to occur in that small town.
How mind boggling.
