I think that we will never have a black bachelor or bachelorette because America's still a bit racist. It would be apparent because with the white bachelor's or bachelorette, most, if not all, the contestants are white and if there is one of any ethnic group out side of that they're usually gone in the next few episodes so most of America doesn't feel uncomfortable.
The black bachelor or bachelorette would make it painfully obvious America, for the most part, supports same race marriages. All the contestants would be black. You'd tune in and say, hum, this is a change.
Something that just occurred to me, maybe the ratings would go down if they put a black bachelor or bachelorette, just a thought.
